Predictions
The software allows for simulation and thus prediction of data (see note below), once the experimental data is described by model-free or model-based kinetics. These predictions depend on the kind of model-free kinetics or on the kinetic model selected and its parameters. Therefore, a careful model-free or model-based analysis of the experimental data should be done before the corresponding predictions are carried out. Predictions can be made for various temperature programs:
Here some tree branches (like Source Data) are collapsed for better view.
Isothermal: Predictions for different isothermal temperatures.
Isothermal Lifetime: Predictions for different isothermal temperatures.
Dynamic: Predictions for different heating rates.
Multiple Step: Prediction for multi-step temperature program (sequence of dynamic and isothermal segments).
Step Iso: Predictions for step-iso temperature program (stepwise increase of the temperature).
Modulated_Isothermal: Predictions for defined modulated temperature ("quasi-isothermal").
Modulated Dynamic: Predictions for dynamic temperature program with modulation.
Adiabatic: Prediction of signals and temperature for various initial temperatures under adiabatic conditions, respectively.
Adiabatic24: Prediction of signals and temperature for pre-defined time to maximum reaction rate under adiabatic conditions.
Climatic:Predictions of the reaction progress based on a real climate temperature profile (“Climatic Predictions”).
Time Temperature Transition (TTT): Predictions for different isothermal temperatures. Only for project types DSC and DSC Curing, only with time or Log(time) as X axis.
External Temperature Profile: Predictions for an external temperature profile loaded from a data file.
Note
In case of projects of type DSC Curing, also glass transition temperatures can be predicted as it is shown in this example.
If the Kinetics Neo project uses External Parameter like Pressure, intensity of UV light or reactant concentrations, then the Simulation (both Prediction and Optimization) can be done for given value of external parameter.
