Predictions: Multiple Step

Predictions of the signal, conversion, conversion rate, concentration or reaction rate can be made for a multi-step temperature program (sequence of dynamic and isothermal segments):

First, a Method/Model (model-free or model-based) needs to be selected (here: Friedman), where only those models are offered with which the data were already analyzed.

Start T., End T. define the start and end temperatures of a segment in °C.

H.R. defines the heating rate within a segment in K/min.

An isothermal segment can be created by defining the same start and end temperature and heating rate equal to zero.

Add Step allows for insertion of segments, the crosses in the last column allow for deletion of segments.

Default values are suggested by the software according to the experimental data.

Export allows for saving the temperature program to a txt-file. Such a file can be edited; however, the general format must not be changed.

Import is for loading a temperature program from a txt-file previously exported (and possibly edited).

Show Temperature program can only be activated if the X-axis unit is set to time.

Press Calculate for calculations/update of calculations.

Exemplary results:

In this example, a simulated DSC signal curve is shown together with the temperature defined as a function of temperature.

Customization and exporting of the results can be done via Ribbon Toolbar.
