In general, the Kinetics Neo software offers model-free and model-based analysis of experimental data. Model-free analysis allows to find the activation energy of the reaction process without assumption of a kinetic model for the process. In contrast, a model-based analysis involves reaction steps with individual reaction types that can be defined by the user. Not only the activation energies, but also the pre-exponential factors and contributions of the reaction steps are parameters of the model-based analysis.
