AI in Kinetics Neo: General Remarks

Applies to: Kinetics Neo 4.1 and later.

Kinetics Neo includes AI Chat, an AI assistant that answers your questions in plain language. Ask how a kinetic method works, which kinetic model suits a type of reaction or how to do a task in Kinetics Neo, and get an answer together with the sources it is based on.

 

What AI Chat Can Do

  • Answers questions about kinetic analysis of thermal analysis data, about kinetic models and methods, and about working with Kinetics Neo.

  • Explains the background of methods and models, including formulas.

  • Shows the sources of every answer, for example documents, scientific publications (with a link via DOI) and videos. Numbers in the text of the answer refer to these sources. Sources about the discontinued NETZSCH Thermokinetics are marked Legacy software.

  • Takes the earlier messages of a chat into account, so you can ask follow-up questions. Suggested follow-up topics can be clicked.

  • Keeps your chats in a chat history on your computer, so you can continue them later.

  • Prints a conversation or saves it as a PDF file.

 

What AI Chat Does Not Do

  • It does not see your Kinetics Neo projects, measurement files or results. It only knows what you type into the chat. To ask about your own data, describe it in the question.

  • AI answers can contain mistakes. Check important information, formulas and recommendations against the sources shown with the answer.

 

Requirements

  • Kinetics Neo with a valid license and an active Kinetics Neo Support Subscription. AI Chat is included in the Support Subscription for free.

  • A connection from your computer to the AI service on the Internet.
